What's special about Dr. Phyto's curcumin?

Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric (the spice), it is extracted from the rhizome of the turmeric plant, makes up only about 5% of turmeric and concentrates the plant's benefits in a concentrated form. A pure 500 mg curcumin capsule contains 95% active ingredient with added piperine for increased absorption. This is a daily dose equivalent to about 15,000 mg of turmeric. *Important to know: Many companies mix curcumin extract with regular turmeric root to reduce costs.
